| BaekSan is a young adult Korean Jindo
Dog being fostered by Jin-Sohl Jindo Dog Rescue, located in southern California.
BaekSan was picked up as a stray by a local
Southern California shelter. After a month in the shelter this very energetic
and playful boy was adopted to an elderly woman who soon returned him due
to her inability to properly care for him. Thanks to a wonderful volunteer
he then found his way into rescue.
Pictures fresh
out from the shelter:
BaekSan is a 42 lb 20 inch neutered male. Though he can be dignified at times, he is also a very playful, active, and friendly young dog. He has a true sense of humor and will throw toys in the air just to make you laugh. While he does not have any formal obedience training, BaekSan is a very quick learner. He knows "sit" and is working on "down". He does pull a bit on leash and has a very exuberant and active personality. BaekSan has a high energy level and would be an ideal dog for someone looking for a jogging or hiking companion. He is happiest when kept physically and mentally active. A true alpha male BaekSan is not aggressive
with other dogs but typical of the breed will not back down from a fight
if pushed. BaekSan has the high prey drive typical of this hunting
breed and is not good with cats, rabbits, birds, or other livestock.
BaekSan is Korean for “White Mountain” and is a very appropriate name for this majestic boy. If interested in adopting BaekSan, please
