Jin-Sohl
Jindo Dog Rescue's
Kennel Building Project
Reason for the Kennels:In order to increase the number of dogs saved from southern CA shelters, Jin-Sohl Jindo Dog Rescue has the exciting opportunity to embark on a program, in cooperation with another rescue organization, which will make 5 kennels available for Jindos in need. This will supplement the current foster home system.
JJDR dogs will still be screened and thoroughly evaluated per JJDR standards before being kenneled.
Dogs will be attended by an in-house person and given an enrichment environment at the kennel. Due to the kennel's convenient location, JJDR volunteers will be able to visit the dogs on an ongoing basis to keep abreast of the dogs' progress and work with the dogs as needed.
Scope of the Project:
Five 10'x10' kennels will be constructed and stocked.
The kennels will have outer protection from the elements. Due to the harsh Santa Ana winds, this will require a substantial frame and cover.
Each kennel will have a plastic/resin doghouse. Durable metal dishes will be used for food and water containers. The ground will be gravel.

Ways to Support this Project:
This exciting undertaking can only happen with the support of the Jindo loving community. While funds have been raise, more are needed to make this project a success.
It is estimated that each kennel will cost a minumum of $100 in materials to build. Stocking the kennels will add additional expenses, as will providing enrichment and creature comforts.Monetary donations can be contributed by check in the mail or electronically via Paypal.
