Directions to Griffith Park:

Griffith Park lies just west of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), roughly between Los Feliz Boulevard on the south and the Ventura Freeway (SR 134) on the north. Freeway off-ramps leading to the park from I-5 are Los Feliz Boulevard, Griffith Park (direct entry) and Zoo Drive. Approaching the park on SR 134 eastbound, take either the Forest Lawn Drive or Victory Boulevard offramps. From SR 134 westbound, take Zoo Drive or Forest Lawn Drive. After leaving freeways, follow the signs into the park.
 

A few tips on directions from a scout:

I can't speak about coming from any other direction, but I know many of us will be coming off the 5 fwy. From the 5 exit on Los Feliz Blvd. Go West on Los Feliz. Turn right on Crystal Springs Dr. The first 4 way stop (stop sign) you will come to has the ranger station on your right and signs pointing to the left to get to the merry-go-round. Do NOT turn here! As of yesterday this road does not go through to the picnic area we will be at.

Instead go to the next 4 way stop...just a tad down the road. This one will have a street sign saying "Griffith Park Dr." and also has a sign about the composting project with an arrow pointing to the left. Turn left here. It will seem like you go up this road forever....don't worry you haven't gone too far.  You will pass the big playground on your left, the old zoo picnic area on your left, Several little picnic areas on the left, the golf course clubhouse on your right, the driving range on your right. Just after the driving range you will come to a Y in the road. Look to your right and you should be looking directly at us. For parking you either take the left part of the Y and park on the right, or there is curbside parking in several different areas. There is no curbside parking directly next to where we will be set up though so you will want to unload quickly and then go park
